Who We Are

The Red Cedar Review, Michigan State University’s premiere literary digest for over 40 years, is the longest running undergraduate-managed publication in the United States. Red Cedar Review is published annually by the Michigan State University Press and is available for purchase at the press web site here. RCR has a prestigious publication record, including Margaret Atwood, William Stafford, Pablo Neruda, W. S. Merwin, Diane Wakoski, Charles Baxter, Anita Skeen, Stuart Dybek, and Jim Harrison.

The current managing editors are Jill Kolongowski, who can be reached at kolongo2 [at] msu [dot] edu, and Lindsey Kate Sloan, who can be reached at sloanli1 [at] msu [dot] edu.

"The Red Cedar Review must surely rank as one of Michigan State University's most important and influential institutions. Aside from publishing through the years a constellation of great writers (Jim Harrison, Margaret Atwood, Pablo Neruda, among many others), it has also given wing to numerous young editors. As the oldest entirely undergraduate-run literary magazine with a national reach in the country, the Red Cedar Review deserves its acclaim, but even more, it deserves your support. I am honored by my association with the magazine and know I would be in a very different place today without it. Long live the RCR!" - Tom Bissell (RCR Co-Editor 1994-96)
